Sarah MacGregor was raised in Upstate New York, where she received her early ballet education. In 2017, she joined the pre-professional division at the Boston Ballet School, studying for three years under the direction of Margaret Tracey. In 2020, Sarah graduated from high school and attended Indiana University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Ballet and a Bachelor of Science in Arts Management. In Indiana, she trained under Sarah Wroth, Michael Vernon, Kyra Nichols, Christian Claessens, Sasha Janes, Carla Körbes, and Glenda Lucena, performing in numerous ballets by George Balanchine, classical masterpieces by August Bournonville and Marius Petipa, and principal roles in Gianna Reisen’s Jupiter No. 5, Annabelle Lopez-Ochoa’s Shibuya Blues, Justin Peck’s Heatscape, and a reimagined La Bayadere by Phil Chan and Doug Fullington. Sarah joined Boulder Ballet in 2024.
