ADAPTIVE DANCE
ADAPTIVE DANCE CLASSES
Boulder Ballet will start new adaptive dance classes
Fall Session starts September 8th- November 10, 2024
Spring Session starts January 12th - March 16, 2025
Classes are from 1:30-2:30 pm
Boulder Ballet partners with medical volunteers to offer a supervised Adaptive Dance program designed for youth with cognitive and physical challenges.
Our Adaptive Dance classes are for all bodies and offer space for up to 10 special needs students. We explore movement from ballet, creative movement, and jazz. Our students perform to their abilities and enjoy the physical and emotional freedom that comes from movement and music. Students will have the opportunity to develop skills such as motor skills, coordination, balance, and socialization.
Physicians and instructors assist the students in each class. Adaptive Dance classes take place in the Boulder Ballet studios in the Dairy ARTS Center, 2590 Walnut Street, Boulder.
STUDENT REGISTRATION
Boulder Ballet is able to offer these classes at no cost through a generous grant from the Boulder Arts Commission. There is a $25 registration fee for this program. Pay registration here.
Financial assistance is available for those in need, contact Rain via bbprograms@boulderballet.org.
