Eva Hegge Wilder
Eva Wilder is a dancer and movement teacher. After a childhood of classical dance and music training and long forest walks, Eva went on to study at the School of Contemporary Dance in Oslo, Norway, completed a B.A. in World Arts and Cultures/Dance with a minor in Musicology at UCLA, and continued training at Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance (SEAD) in Salzburg, Austria. She co-founded IN/EX Dance Project, and has performed with Heidi Duckler Dance Theatre, Victoria Marks, and Barak Marshall in Los Angeles; Katie Faulkner's little seismic dance and KunstStoff in San Francisco; and Prince Dance Theater and Katy Lanuza in Hawai’i. Over the last ten years, she has enjoyed collaborations with Elia Mrak and Martin Piliposnky, performing in Seattle, New York, Hawai’i, and Boulder.
Eva’s lifelong study of dance organically led her to investigate movement as medicine. For the last two decades, she has been teaching Pilates and the GYROTONIC® method, coupled with insights from the subtlety of CranioSacral Therapy and Reiki to a wide variety of bodies, ages, and abilities.
As a dance educator, Eva wishes to offer the space and skills that allow the unfurling of whole, embodied, integrated people; setting the stage for the next generation through the profound healing available through movement.
