Philip Gabriel Perez was born in Colombia, and raised in New York City. At age seven, he began classes at The JKO School of ABT, under Franco De Vita & Raymond Lukens. In 2010, Alexei Ratmansky cast him as the Young Prince in ABT’s new production of The Nutcracker, a role he reprised for three years. In 2015 he continued his training at Boston Ballet School under Peter Stark & Margaret Tracey. He then joined Nashville Ballet II under Paul Vasterling and danced the company repertoire, including Balanchine works. In 2017 he joined Colorado Ballet’s Studio Company, dancing in company productions including works by Tharp & Tudor. At Miami IBC 2019, he was awarded second place. He regularly appears as a guest artist with companies across the country. In addition, he’s ABT NTC certified, & enjoys teaching & sharing dance. Philip joined Boulder Ballet in 2018.
