CATHERINE LASAK

Catherine Lasak began dancing at the age of nine at the Judith Svalander School of Ballet in Crystal Lake, Illinois. Throughout high school, she trained at Ballet Chicago and spent two summers at the School of American Ballet. Catherine received a full scholarship to study at Pacific Northwest Ballet in their Professional Division for the 2016–2017 season. She accepted an Apprentice position the following year at Grand Rapids Ballet. In 2018, she joined Cincinnati Ballet’s Second Company and, after two years, joined the main Company until the end of their 2022–2023 season. Mentionable roles include Val Caniparoli’s Ibsen’s House, Ohad Naharin’s Minus 16, and George Balanchine’s Square Dance and Who Cares?. She has always dreamed of living in Colorado and is delighted to call Boulder Ballet her home. Catherine joined Boulder Ballet in 2023.
