Tuition Assistance Program Scholarship

Tuition Assistance Program Scholarship (TAP)

Boulder Ballet has limited funds available for existing students who need assistance due to financial need. It is the policy and desire of Boulder Ballet to provide tuition assistance based on a student’s financial need and aptitude for dance.

Boulder Ballet partners with Boulder Body Wear to offer dance apparel for scholarship students. 

Students that have received a need-based scholarship (TAP) may receive apparel and tickets to Student Showcase for family to attend as part of their scholarship.

BIPOC Scholarship application

This Scholarship is for people who identify as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color).

Applications are limited for the remainder of the 2023–24 school year. To request support please email Beth@boulderballet.org

Boulder Ballet provides a limited number of full and partial scholarships per program session, for BIPOC students, thanks to Alpine Bank and an anonymous grant. All families will be notified no later than one week prior to the start of a new session. Submission of an application does not guarantee aid will be granted.

Boulder Ballet believes that Diversity Makes Dance Better. Diversity of perspectives, ideas, life experience, talent, and culture enriches the artistry and practice of dance. We seek, celebrate, and include that richness. Creating an accessible and inclusive community that welcomes individuals of all races, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, ages, socioeconomic backgrounds, religions, abilities, and body types is at the heart of the life-altering power of dance.

Boulder Ballet partners with Boulder Body Wear to offer dance apparel for scholarship students. 

Please note, we have updated our apparel policy to support increasing diversity, equity and inclusion at Boulder Ballet to offer tights and ballet flats in tones to match a dancer’s skin. Apparel is available through our partnership with Boulder Body Wear for scholarship students.

All students of Boulder Ballet may receive a 15% discount on apparel.

PLAYpass

Boulder Ballet is a proud partner of PLAYPass.

PLAYPass provides eligible youth up to $250 towards participation in approved partner's programs. Learn more about eligibility and how to apply here.

About PLAYpass 
If you qualify, PLAYpass vouchers can be used towards Boulder Ballet tuition. PLAYpass is a Boulder County program that aims to reduce barriers to fee-based participation in sport and recreation programs so all youth have the opportunity to thrive and live healthy, active lifestyles. PLAYpasses will be distributed by lottery for Fall 2023. Only those who have already submitted applications will be eligible for the lottery drawing. PLAYpass will begin accepting applications for Winter 2024 on December 1, 2023. Please see the PLAYpass website for more information:
