ADAPTIVE DANCE CLASSES

Boulder Ballet offers a medically-supervised Adaptive Dance program designed for youth with cognitive and physical challenges. The Adaptive Dance program provides up to ten special needs students the chance to be in dance classes geared towards their specific challenges. Adaptive Dance classes take place in the Boulder Ballet studios in the Dairy ARTS Center, 2590 Walnut Street, Boulder.
This program has been developed for Boulder Ballet by Pediatric Rehabilitation specialists Dr. Stephanie Tow and Dr. Cristina Sarmiento of Children’s Hospital Colorado. Physicians, therapists, and instructors assist the students in each class. Interested students should contact Boulder Ballet to schedule a pre-class assessment by Doctors Tow and Sarmiento.
There is a $25 registration fee for this program. Financial assistance available for those in need. You may register by downloading the following forms or, if you prefer you may register online.
Boulder Ballet is seeking volunteers with an interest and/or a background in working with children with disabilities to assist its medically-supervised Adaptive Dance program designed for youth with cognitive and/or physical challenges. There will be a Volunteer Medical Education session at the Dairy ARTS Center in Boulder prior to the start of classes.
