Ross Freeman, originally from Kent, Washington, began his training at the age of nine at Ensemble Ballet Theater and continued at Evergreen City Ballet under Kevin Kaiser. At age 16, he was given a near-full scholarship including room and board to attend Walnut Hill School for the Arts in Natick, Massachusetts. He attended summer intensives with American Ballet Theater, Batsheva Dance Company, Limón Dance Company, Paul Taylor Dance Company, and Pacific Northwest Ballet, the latter for multiple summers on full tuition scholarship. After graduating from Walnut Hill, he received a full tuition scholarship to attend the University of Arizona’s School of Dance. During his time at UArizona, he performed works by George Balanchine, Autumn Eckman, and Darrell Grand Moultrie, among others. In 2020, he was elected Phi Beta Kappa and graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of arts in linguistics and a bachelor of fine arts in dance through the University of Arizona Honors College. Ross joined Boulder Ballet as a company member in 2021.
