OUR SNOW WHITE STORY
As the story opens, the Queen pricks her finger on a rose and thinks, “If only I had a child with skin as white as snow, lips as red as blood, and hair as black as a raven’s wings and all of the strength of that rose.” Her daughter Snow White is born and as a young child develops a close friendship with William, along with other Town’s Children. William gives Snow White an apple that possesses an evil spell. She eats it and becomes sick. Darkness falls over the land and the Queen dies.
The King and his army engage in a battle and defeat the Dark Army. They rescue a woman who was held captive. The King, having lost his Queen, is taken by the beauty of this woman and so they are wed. Snow White is happy for her father’s new marriage, but her new stepmother turns out to be the Evil Queen, a wicked and vain woman.
The Evil Queen, turning to her mirror, says, “Mirror, Mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?” The mirror tells her that Snow White is the fairest in the land. So the Evil Queen banishes Snow White and tells the Huntsman to take her into the forest and kill her. They are met by a Forest Creature and Gypsies who want to save Snow White, and they rescue her from the Huntsman. Shortly after, Snow White finds a dwelling belonging to the Seven Dwarfs, who welcome her with open arms and vow to help her.
The Huntsman returns to the Evil Queen and tells her that Snow White is dead; however she asks her mirror and it responds that Snow White is still alive. The Evil Queen tells the Huntsman, the Captains of the Dark Army, and William to go find and kill her. Meanwhile, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs are living the forest with bunnies, birds, and fairies. The Evil Queen, disguised as William, gives Snow White a poisoned apple and it appears she has died. However, she is saved by a kiss from the Huntsman. The Fairy Princess appears and tells everyone that Snow White is the chosen one with the strength to defeat the Evil Queen and her Dark Army. Once the Evil Queen is finally defeated, Snow White and the Huntsman marry and all the living things in the forest and town are safe and happy once more.
